One of the bass I have caught in Flatrock Dam, just outside of Nowra, NSW
Flatrock Dam is a small impoundment that is restricted to non-powered vessels.
Located near the TAFE Campus, this little dam can be very productive when conditions suit.
The primary target species is the Australian Bass [Macquaria novemaculeata] and fishes best in the early morning or late afternoon / early evening.
Surface and sub surface lures work well in this dam with the best being such lures as:
- Damiki Vault 45 Blades
- RGB Red Minnow
- Teimco Soft Shell Cicadas
They will also accept a range of soft plastics when fished in a suitable manner.
