COMPETITION GUIDELINES & REGULATIONS

THIS IS A CATCH & RELEASE ONLY EVENT
ENTRY FEES & CLASSIFICATIONS
– Tadpoles [under 5years] = Free
– Nippers [Under 12 years] = $10
– Adult [per competitor] = $20
– Teams [max 2 members per team] = $40
BRIEFING & FISHING TIMES
Day 1: 7:00am – 4:00pm – Family Fish Fun Day
Day 2: 6:00am – 1:00pm – Event Proper
START: 6:30am [Briefing – [Registration Cut-Off Time 8am]
[ALL competitors MUST to the Palm Beach Reserve no later than 1:30pm]
3. COMPETITION RULES
3a. – All entrants must be at the Briefing stage for sign in and to pay their entry fees as well as to receive their Unique Angler Numbers [No Number No Fish]
3b. – All entrants MUST return their UAN Tags to the Presentation area before leaving so as to allow monitoring of competitors who have not returned by comp shut off time.
3c. – All entrants must follow the Government Departments Guidelines such as MINIMUM legal size limits etc.
3d. – All vessel must have a live-well suitable for stowing Flathead from 36cm – 50cm [Larger Fish MUST BE RELEASED in good condition following a photographs taken on a recognised [and ore-comp checked measuring device and must show clearly the Angler Number and full fish photographs [from head to toe, showing the appropriate measure on the mat].
3e. – NO competitor will have BAIT etc. onboard their vessels or in their possession or risk being eliminated from the event.
3f. – Any competitor found to be causing disturbance to locals using the waterway and reserve will also be evicted from the competition.
[NOTE – NO ENTRY FEE REFUND WILL BE GIVEN for these offences]
4. FISH CARE – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.
4a. – ALL FLATHEAD OVER 50cm MUST BE RETURNED TO THE WATER IN GOOD CONDITION
4b. – Ensure that the live-wells are a suitable size and have a good water-flow rate.
4c. – Any ‘DEEP HOOK’ fish [ESPECIALLY Over 50cm] must have the line cut as close as possible to the mouth and returned as quickly as possible to avoid further stress.
4b. – If possible, all fish must be returned to their point of capture.
4e. – Any person/s found to be chasing or causing undue stress to the fish being returned to the water will be dealt with by the relevant authorities.
